19-Mar-2020: In anticipation of the The British Government talking steps to lock-down travel for all, but essential key workers Res Consortium will be suspending all frontline projects and programmes from today as the NHS moves to deal with this growing pandemic. We stopped all Trust-based Medical Education Programmes last week, following advice from NHS colleagues so that our teams are not moving from hospital-to-hospital, Trust-to-Trust. This will protect our Associates and NHS frontline services from risk of transmission. But today we have taken the unprecedented decision to postpone all frontline projects. From today all of our programmes have been moved online. Res continues to operate as a business supporting the pandemic planning process and anticipating the need to support service when planned care services resume. We understand how frustrating it is as a doctor to be placed in self-isolation if you are exhibiting even mild symptoms. For those doctors, this might be a good opportunity to update your CPD, and because if this Res Consortium is opening-up Res-Learn E-Learning Management (ELM) Platform for a number of e-learning modules free of charge to doctors during this period.
